Ink Rewind Tattoo Removal is located in Coral Gables, and PicoWay is the only laser technology we use, on every client, for every session. If you’ve been researching tattoo removal and keep seeing “PicoWay” mentioned as the technology to look for, here’s what it actually means for your treatment.
What is PicoWay?
PicoWay is a picosecond laser platform, meaning it delivers energy in ultra-short pulses measured in trillionths of a second. That speed shatters tattoo ink into much finer particles than older nanosecond lasers, using a primarily photomechanical (rather than heat-based) effect. Finer particles are easier for your body’s lymphatic system to clear away, which is a big part of why PicoWay tends to produce better results with fewer side effects.
Why we chose PicoWay for every client
When we set up our studio, we wanted one laser platform that could treat the widest possible range of tattoos well, rather than switching between older devices depending on the case. PicoWay’s multiple wavelengths let us treat colors that have historically been difficult to remove, including greens and blues, alongside the black and dark ink that most lasers handle well.
What PicoWay can treat
- Black and dark blue ink, the most responsive colors to laser treatment
- Red, orange, and other warm tones
- Green and light blue ink, historically some of the hardest colors to clear
- Multi-color and cover-up tattoos, which often need multiple wavelength passes
- Tattoos on most skin tones, with appropriate settings for each case
The Coral Gables studio experience
Our studio at 3850 Bird Road, Suite 402, Coral Gables, is set up specifically for laser tattoo removal, not as an add-on to a broader med spa menu. Every consultation starts with an in-person look at your tattoo, an honest conversation about how many sessions it’s likely to need, and a clear explanation of the PicoWay process before you commit to anything.
